TIKINATOR

Personal project exploring 3D-geometry (face) tracking as a tool for visual effects.

The TIKINATOR is played by Joakim Areschoug, mask was originally designed by Firas Kabous to later be modeled and textured by Cornelia Ryås. The rest (tracking, rendering, compositing, color correction and all that junk) was done by Sebastian Hesselsjö (me). The music is a cover of the original Terminator theme song I whipped up in 20 minutes.

My part of collaborative Hyper Island project “ʘ”.

ʘ was part of a series of videos made by Hyper Island Stockholm Motion Graphics class of ‘13 under the theme “Illuminated Immersion”. In ʘ, the viewer gets immersed within a different world as light is shed on what is not seen by the naked eye. In my scene I chose to represent the contrast of day/night, which can often be two completely different experiences of the same place.
